I enjoyed walking to the park everyday of my vacation. I loved walking out on the pier to watch people fish. I walked the park and loved taking pictures along the way. We even saw a Bald Eagle.

There is an airport close, and large, loud jets fly directly over the campground all day and evening. The sites are shaded and somewhat difficult to back into with trees and other obstacles. The ocean is great and the pier is great. Just loud.

For the price, it is a good pier. We weren't disappointed and caught many fish although we released them only to be eaten by the sharks below.

This is a nice escape from noise/action that Myrtle Beach can be at times. There is a really nice pier, a few walking trails, and the views are awesome. I recommend taking a few hours and going. Plus your admissions is good for same day...More

My second time camping at this park. Well maintained. Bathhouses could use some new curtains (very moldy). Nice and quiet in the evenings.

Loved the beach. Found many shells. You can find shark teeth if you know what to look for and spend the time. Beach is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., bring your sunscreen and water. Plenty of restrooms and picnic tables are available. Only...More

The pier and beach access was nice.... but two tire swings do not make a playground. Thumbs down, as far as the kids were concerned.

You could set up a canopy off the beach . I am not sure. they have several covered areas for picnics and barbecues. Being Horry county the restrictions are tougher, especially in summer
