Old Grandaddy!!

Nice course. Played each of last 3 years here. Well kept course. Replay rates are high. Should cut golfers a little break playing an additional 9 holes in the afternoon.

This is one of the best courses we've played on the Grand Strand. Every aspect of it from tee to green is in excellent shape. The fairways are fairly wide and forgiving, but position is still important on many holes. Water comes into play on some holes, but there is always enough bail-out room to avoid it. There are numerous... More

Founders club has done a lot of right with this course. The grandaddy is a fantastic course, and when you get to the clubhouse, your mouth will drop. At least mine did... I would recommend this course to all golfers, one for the history, two for the challenge. I didn't like that it was a par 70 (only 2 par... More

This was one of the most challenging courses that we played on our trip, but it is scenic and the holes are fun. The views are spectacular and each hole has its own unique obstacle. The only thing we didn't like is the pace of play-- almost 5 hours to complete a round on Wednesday morning. The Marshall moved the... More

A golf vacation at Myrtle Beach is such a treat. Great people and awesome golf courses! We found both with a playing lesson from budding golf instructor Chad Garland. I learned so much down the fairways and around the green ... he totally improved my approach to putting and taught me to "love the sand" ... and I'll never look... More

Awesome experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you're driving down the driveway. Very friendly staff, from the bag handlers, to the folks in the clubhouse, along with the hardworking folks in the restaurant. Fairways are nice and wide and in impeccable shape. Beautiful true reading greens. Spacious and classy clubhouse. And the food was great as well!... More

Couse is the oldest in the Mb area and not as spectacular as many of the others we played. Big club house which was busy on this friday. Comparably fast play. Upon arrival we were unexpectedly rushed by the staff although we were 30 minutes early.

I play this course every year. It never disappoints and the greens are beautiful. Plenty of water and sand traps, but open on the back and you can score on this course. The staff was extremely helpful got us situated quickly. The club sandwich was HUGE! The pro shop is well equipped and the rental clubs are nice.

Green tee boxes green fair ways and real green greens. These three things are hard to come by in Horry county and Brunswick county. Most courses do not overseen with Rye grass anymore they wait all winter for the dormant Bermuda to fill in.Here at the 90 year old GRAND DADDY they have real grass on the greens not the shaved 'rolled;and... We enjoyed this course. The layout of the course was fair and challenging. Playing from the 2nd from back tees makes many of the par 4s difficult even with a good drive. Plenty of water on the course. The staff was nice. The clubhouse and bar were average. I wish they had a practice range. We came with time to... More
