If you only see one show... this is the one! "Top Attraction in Myrtle Beach" according to CNBC! The Carolina Opry has won every major South Carolina tourism award including Most Outstanding Attraction and the prestigious Governor's Cup. And it's the only show that has been featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, TNN, and USA Today, which called it "A Big Hit". The New York Post called it "A Hot Ticket".Entertainer and entrepreneur Calvin Gilmore launched The Carolina Opry on South Carolina's Grand Strand in 1986. His live music variety show features a cast of 36 of the nation's top singers, dancers, comedians and musicians in its own 2200-seat show palace with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and three giant video screens. The show, which is continually updated with new music and comedy, is two hours of high energy entertainment that blends humor and dancing with everything from rock 'n roll, Broadway and country to classic hits, pop melodies and gospel.Young and old are counted among its fans who are sure to include a performance in their visit to Myrtle Beach. In November and December the theater is transformed into a winter wonderland where the magic of the season comes alive in The Carolina Opry Christmas Special a wonderfully dazzling, jolly and sentimental musical celebration of America's best-loved holiday..

We saw the Carolina Opry show. It was wonderful. Filled with great singing, dancing, and the "All That" clogging group. You won't be disappointed. Don't get seats on the sides. Ours were there and you couldn't see everything.

We try to go to one of there shows every time we go to MB. Went to the regular show which was really good. Probably would try the 70's show next time. Entertainers were great as usual and songs pretty good. Dancers were all fabulous....More

We enjoyed the show. It wasn't wonderful, but it wasn't bad. A bit "tired" perhaps. This is a very expensive show though for "tired". We had terrible seats. (Don't get row C) we moved during intermission since there were plenty of open seats. My parents...More

All four of us loved the Traditional show. The $50 tickets were worth every penny. All the singers, dancers, cloggers, and musicians were as good as you can see anywhere in the country. After the show we purchased additional tickets at $20 each for the...More

My hubby and I treated the friends traveling with us to this magic show. The Wagsters are a charming couple and some of the illusions were well done. Other things fell flat such as the straight jacket routine. I've seen David Copperfield in Vegas so...More

First time I've seen Time Warp. A high energy show where the performers sung and danced well. Really liked the music being a Classic Rock aficionado. However, if you've seen the previous show, Good Vibrations, note that not much has changed; only the name. Still...More

The bands, vocalists and dancers are all top notch performers. A lot of Woodstock songs as well as a few early 60s, some 70s and 80s. Definitely worth the money. But there was not a single person of color in the cast and not one...More

I have first row seats to the Wynonna Judd show in March. Seats 20 and 21. I haven't been here before. Could anyone tell me how the view is from this viewpoint? Silly question probably but I'm just so excited to see this show. Also have seats to the Irish Tenors, row 1 seats 1 and 2 in January. Tell me they were worth the money ?!!??? Many thanks for any input - from the State of Maine. - Linda

Both sets of seats are on opposite ends of row 1. So you will have a side ways view of the stage. I have never preferred front row unless it is a concert where you can stand, sing and gyrate. Not so in this theater. Seats... More
