If you want information without timeshare hassles, this is the official information center. I asked for a list of current events that may not be listed anywhere else. The staff person also provided tips and additional ways to save and enjoy the area.

Nice facilities, but watch for the time share trap. Lady told my teen daughter and spouse we could see Medival Times show cheaply. When asked a out the catch, it involved a timeshare tour and sales pitch. Disappointed my daughter, but we only had so many hours at the beach. Nice folks doi g their job, but I didnt like... More

We stopped in expecting clean restrooms (yes!), travel brochures (yes!), maps (not so much) and recommendations on what we might enjoy during our trip (FAIL). The staff at the Welcome Center are there solely to sell time-shares. They aren't interested in giving travel advice or directions, they don't know the best local restaurants, they have a limited itinerary of entertainment... More

This is a very busy welcome center, but filled with southern hospitality. The employees are friendly and helpful.

This is more than a collection of brochures and booklets, although you'll find an amazing amount of reading material and helpful guidance here. It's a very well maintained and beautifully landscaped building, with palmettos and rose bushes for your picture taking pleasure. Visiting this center is a treat - it made us anticipate our upcoming Myrtle Beach vacation even more.

We always stop at the Welcome Center or Visitor Center when coming to a new city. This was no exception. The young fellow was extremely helpful and gave us brochures and coupons for local attractions (such as Brookgreen Gardens, fishing expeditions and also restaurants). There are racks of other brochures throughout the center. Restrooms were amazingly clean - kudos to... More
