One of the anchor's of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, the Gay Dolphin has delighted generations of customers since 1946. The most unique gift shop on the Grand Strand, it has twenty-six thousand square feet of fun spread over seven levels. Located directly on the new Myrtle Beach Boardwalk between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 9th Avenue North, just south of Plyler Park. The Gay Dolphin is now wheelchair accessible! An elevator lift was installed in March/April of 2015, which allows wheelchair access to 85% - 90% of the store.

So much stuff to see. A lot of unusual gifts and trinkets. Some of the jewelry was very pretty. Too much stuff. The 9 floors are not numbered, so u can lose track of where you are. Some of the individual shells were very inexpensive...More

The gay dolphin is such a unique and exciting place. It's more than a gift shop. I came here as a child and I still want to keep coming back. Every year we come to myrtle beach we have to make a pit stop here!

The gay dolphin has a parking lot that is behind the ripley haunted attraction. During the summer there is an all day fee, but during the winter months it is free. Yes, they have a parking lot.
