We visited in the morning and it was very quiet. Not too many people around and almost no restaurants opened. The marsh is pretty and the boardwalk is nice. Some local shrimpers were on the dock and we watched them prep their catch. Took some nice photos with the family and watched boaters going by. It was a nice walk... More

The marsh walk boardwalk provides a romantic place to walk after dinner. I would imagine it to be lovely in daylight too.

I chose couples, but the MarshWalk can be great for many different groups. A stroll at sunset is incredibly romantic, but taking the kids to look at the boats or check out the goats out on Goat Island can be fun for everyone. My favorite thing to do is to grab a drink at any of the bars and just... More

Don't miss the boardwalk and pier alongside beautiful salt marsh. Hidden behind string of great seafood bar-restaurants

Beautiful view, good restaurants, and fun bars. When my friends and I go out we usually have sushi at Wahoos then head over to Dead Dog or Bubba's for drinks.

Walked the MarshWalk. Not impressed. This is for a younger, drinking crowd. The restaurants there seemed too expensive for the atmosphere. We were there in the middle of the afternoon, very few people, the way we like it, but you could see that at night it would be a loud and hoping place, Just not our scene.

We went down to the Inlet after the hurricane to see what damage there was to the pier. It had been quickly repaired and was complete. We did see a lot of things washed up on land that will still need to be cleared.

Watching fishermen on the Warf. Very pretty. Restaurants along the water are plentiful, pretty, lots of outdoor seating.

The setting is magnificent -- lots of fishing boats, birds, and saltwater marshes. Unfortunately, it is also elbow to elbow restaurants with mediocre-quality food at high prices. It's probably OK for seafood lovers and bar folks, but the ambiance intrudes on walking there. It's all competing loud music and eau d'Fryolator.
