My son and I went there a few years ago and just happened upon it by accident. There is a huge plaque that gives all of the names of fishermen who have lost their lives at sea through the years. The benches there let you sit and put your mind in reflection of things that are important. A very special... More

Hid a geocaching there once, but the groundskeepers must have removed the cache. Anyway, a quite place off a busy business Hwy 17 to take a few moments to contemplate life and death and the sea.

Located within view of the boat landing this simple memorial is in a beautiful and scenic spot. Take the opportunity and stop to see it stroll along the marsh walk and take some photos, the view is always cooperative.

We stumbled upon this place while touring through Murrell's Inlet, and were pleasantly surprised. There is a monument dedicated to the sailors that have been lost at sea in this area...as well as a small area of plants and a unique sculpture to view as well. It is a very well-done memorial with a beautiful view of the ocean....in a... More

Neat little spot, sweet monument and some nice art work. Couldn't find it using map on TripAdvisor but it is right next door to Hot Fish Club.

This little place has evolved over recent years. Monument and sculpture here but is easy to miss. I would come to the nearby restaurant and after dinner wander down their backyard to the marsh to catch a glimpse of the sunset and tide. Best place to get some pictures. The monument is a heartfelt reminder of those lost at sea.... More

We found this when geocaching in the area. Beautiful spot, peaceful, great views. Lovely monument, nice tribute to them. Decent amount of parking, close to restaurants and little boardwalk. Must see if in the area.

We visited here twice on our recent vacation: first when we were eating dinner next door to it and then again when we wanted to let the kids see the inlet at low tide. It is really beautiful and the views are phenomenal. The memorial is very touching and beautiful. However, the trash in the inlet is not a pretty... More

Large view from a small suttle park in Murrells Inlet located next to the oldest pub resturant in SC.
