Loved our self guided tour of the art studio, defiantly felt a bit haunted. South Carolina has some pretty awesome parks but this one I think is in the top 5. Go check it out!

This is a state park with lots of beaches and a great place to spend the day at the beach. Also there is history here on the creation of Brookgreen Gardens.

The beach is wide, clean and excellent for walking. There was no wind to blow the sand while I was there. The beach was relatively empty both in the morning when it was cooler as well as in the afternoon. Life guards are on duty....More

Interesting drive through. Visited the castle and drove through the campground. Nice facilities. Park was not as nice as Myrtle Beach state park. Staff were not as friendly at the park as others I have visited.

Our timeshare does not have a beach access so they offer a free pass to the park. Otherwise it is $5 per car per day. It was a great uncrowned beach with smooth sand. It has 3 lifeguards. There is also plenty of picnic tables...More

This is one of the best beaches in the area. The sand is nice, the beach area is very clean. You want a quiet beach that’s clean, this is the place.

Suggest you contact the park office for such a question. However the beach at the south end campground was the cleanest and least crowded we have been to.

Yes, at the beach heads. There are also restrooms at the ranger check-in station used by the campers. There are no restrooms at the tide waters or the hiking trails.
