Disappointed when we went to the park at end of October, only to find out Atalaya Castle was closed because it was being set up for a Haunted House. However, Nature Walks were very nice and got to see an alligator up close.

Had an enjoyable day as usual. Saw lots of alligators. Long walk on the beach was very relaxing. New concrete walkway to the beach is a great plus. Relaxing and enjoyble.

The castle is empty now, though it's still structurally nice and the courtyard is beautiful. The audio tour is pretty good. $5 for entry and audio, it's worth it. The beach (if you want that) was beautiful, and near empty in October. If you're searching...More

Most of the sites are far away from trash area. Pump out is outside campground area. We have stayed in many sites. None of them are bad.

No camping on the beach but the sites are under a 1/2 mile to the ocean. Enjoy.
