Went during Christmas season to see the spectacular Christmas light display. The park is beautiful through the the year with wonderful gardens and magnificent sculptures, but the light display can't be beat. Live bands, refreshments and millions of lights make this a must see location. We also visited during the Fall and really enjoyed learning about the history of the... More

A wonderful destination to observe nature and beautiful gardens. The butterfly pavilion is my favorite.

Wonderful gardens to walk and look at the plants and statuses in mid winter. The weather was cold and windy and sunny. We enjoyed walking around and taking pictures.

Classical figurative sculpture set in a Souther Coastal, arboreal setting. Difficult to capture in words, except "don't miss it".

Come prepared to spend several hours or days, as there is lots to see and many times there are special exhibits. The LEGO exhibit of animals in 2016 was especially interesting alongside the real thing! The boat trip was just okay but depends on your interests. The gardens are extremely peaceful and a nice place to just hang out and... More

Having an annual pass is the best way to view the ever changing gardens and view the beautiful seasons. December is the must see "Festival of Lights"...not to be missed during the Christmas season. Love all the spring flowers and taking walks through the sculpture gardens and the zoo. Don't miss the butterfly venue as well.

Our last visit was for the Night of 1000 Candles. In reality there are about 5000. The trees and grounds are all decorated and there is a massive Christmas tree lighting each night. We had visited before during the day to see the statue garden and the old oak trees. Seeing the lights at night was simply awesome. Worth the... More

We booked our tickets through Groupon and got a wonderful deal, which is essentially a 7 day pass into the gardens. There are acres of gardens and sculptures, and also a zoo (but not your traditional zoo). We visited in January (when the plants aren't all out), but I can only imagine what this looks like in the summertime! We... More

I went to Brookgreen Gardens expecting to spend about 3 hours and wondered why the ticket you purchase is good for a week. I found out! Winter is definitely not prime time for garden touring. But this garden is worth a visit any time of year. The trees are bare. The lawn is yellow. But the sculptures are worth seeing,... More

Gorgeous huge and well run but put your kids on a leash because it is very crowded and very subdued lighting beautiful sculptures and lovely trees dropping with lights, but tastefully done. Summer offerings include sitting among giant oaks and listening to wonderful concerts - bring chairs and your cooler !
