If you have the chance you need to attend one of the Nights of Thousands Candles at Brookgreen Gardens. Very innovative use of floating glass globes with candles in the statue refelecting pools. But live oak alley is breathtaking. Special for 2016 was the glass garden using hanblown glass globes of various colors lit from within. There is also live... More

I went for the first time last night and was awed by the displays of lights. The trees are beautiful and the hanging lights make you thing you are in a circle of light. A must do if you live in the area or if you are visiting.

Two years ago I went to Night of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen, and it has gooten even better. Went on Friday night, clear and cool, with more lights and more creativity than any other visit there. What amazing staff and volunteers. The glass balls done by Conway Glass were more than amazing; the Childrens Garden and the Kitchen House... More

If you are in the area - make sure you go see this event. For 2016 it is running December 1-3, 8-10, & 15-18. If you miss it this year, put it on your calendar for next. A beautiful experience - thousands of lights in the setting of Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, SC. There is live music and food... More

Night of 1000 Candles was fantastic. It was beautiful with all the lights and candles...nothing like I had ever seen. Loved all the different singers too.

Wow. This is one of the best holiday lighting displays I've ever seen. Acres and acres of lights decorating the different garden "rooms." Many, many candles are hand lit every evening by volunteers. The tree lighting ceremony was startling, going from pitch black to oh so bright (130,000 led lights), on a very tall Japanese Spruce. Carolers, bagpipes, shopping and... More

Nights of a Thousand Candles, on until December 18. Recommend a visit to see all of the "real" wax candles; best part is to arrive early and watch all the volunteers light the candles, just before they begin flipping the switch to turn on the lights on many of the trees. It was a discovery process, as each designated volunteer... More

This event now in its 13th year is spectacular and just when you think it can't get any better it does. New to the event this year was a blown glass display from Conway Glass. There are candles and lights everywhere. The event this year was increased to 9 nights and was by advance ticket only. The event begins at... More

This was much better that I ever expected. There were lights everywhere. A train display both inside and out. I don’t think my pictures will do this justice. Just know that you will have to do a lot of walking. They have “strollers” for those who have an issues with walking (they are easy to use). This is definitely worth... More
