Something different from plantations, museums and food. A chance to see wildlife, including dolphins up close. Helpful, easy to use website. Great staff and a wonderful guided paddle from Cindy. Out of Shem Creek and into the harbor. Just 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Anyone...More

We were part of a small group going out on a beautiful warm May morning. Our guide was 100% capable, friendly, and a good coach. But this is a pleasantly low-stakes adventure, nothing too intense. You paddle past some docks, watch a shrimp boat cast...More

This was our first time kayaking and it was amazing! Our guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable regarding the regional history and nature. The kayaks were clean and comfortable and we were given proper instruction so that as "newbies" it was nothing stressful. We saw some...More

We did a three hour guided tour on the Wambaw Creek. There are plenty of alligators swimming in the creek and sunning on logs - they aren't a danger to kayakers though! Lots of really neat birds and wildlife. The guide was awesome and low...More

Never made it to the tour. I met up at the assigned time/location for my tour as per their website's instructions. Nobody showed. I tried calling their office, but nobody would answer their phone. I left a voicemail and repeatedly attempted to call, without success....More

Hey Brandon, I'm so sorry for your experience. We strive to give excellent customer service, so I'm not sure what happened. We have several new people we have hired in anticipation of a very busy season and it's probable that one of them was new...More

Jay was a great guide. He explained quite a bit about the local wildlife, plants, and geography. The kayaks were solid. And Wambaw Creek was beautiful. Definitely recommend it.

Guide was knowledgeable about the area. Pungo Wilderess Expedition Kayaks are roomy and comfortable. Great kayaks to use.

We went kayaking with them this morning. Our guide Elizabeth was very personable and shared a lot of good knowledge about the creeks history. We were in a group of 7 which made me feel a lot more comfortable since I've never been kayaking. Overall...More

Hi. I have two things to ask about: 1. If I have a group of 6-8 at the end of Sept., how soon should I book this reservation? It can't be last minute, like the day before, can it? 2. With all the recent shark activity in the general area, are you still taking kayak tours to all your regular spots? Have any sharks been seen during kayak tours? Are sharks known to be in the bodies of water that your kayak tours to? The 1-2 hour tours? Sorry- a little paranoid! Thanks for whatever you can tell me! -Laura

Hi Susan, On Shem Creek we paddle in the salt marsh areas and in a very shallow bay. There are small sand sharks we've seen but they are typically about 1 ft. in length and that is on a rare occasion. The area is... More
