I have ridden throughout the West and East coasts and in many states between. None have bicycle paths close to what Hilton Head offers. Over 100 miles of trails on an 11 mile Island and all are among the most safe I have ever seen.

Renting a bike for touring the island is a must. I have been to HHI 16 times over the last three years and have always rented bikes for enjoying the beauty of HHI. The island is very bike friendly with the miles of bike paths...More

The HHI Bike Trails are nice but not really what I was expecting. I ride a road bike and average between 15-20 mph. These trails are designed more for beach cruising bikes at much lower speeds. Additionally on most of the island bikes must yield...More

Since Hilton Head Island is almost entirely flat, it is a great place to ride bikes. Plus, the city of Hilton Head Island has built and maintains exceptional bike paths, sometimes in addition to sidewalks and walking paths! You can go for hours!

Oh my goodness ... what a terrific feature! We rented bikes and rode all over the island. Really a fantastic bike trail system.

We like the extensive Hilton Head Bike Trails for hiking and for Biking. The bike trails link our Marriott Grande Ocean and Our Marriott Surfwatch week with the entire island.

Love to ride to Harbor Town and to Lawton’s stables. There are bike racks at Harbor Town, so you can grab a bite to eat. The paths are often extremely rough so be careful.

Many bike trails on the island in every direction and you can bike anywhere on the island with the adjoining trails. Bring your own bike and/or rent a bike at many rental locations. You wont be disappointed!

You could ride for hours and never get bored! The trails run throughout the island and allow access to everything.

Trails are flat, paved and well maintained. Bikes are available for rent at many of the resorts, and brochures/maps of the trails are available. The scenery is amazing, views of golf courses and resorts as well as the ocean are plentiful. Get some exercise and...More
