We were unaware that we had to book bikes before our trip. They don't hold any bikes back for vacationers that are unaware so that was terribly disappointing. We had our elderly parents with us and they didn't offer tricycle adult bikes. We also had...More

We bike all over the island when we were here. The trails are very well maintained and have very scenic views on them. Majority of the trail is shaded. We used the bike trails also to walk to Coligny park.

We bring our bikes down and ride all of the island. It is best to get away from the crowds around the resorts and ride the less traveled trails and roads.

The paths are very well maintained and are fantastic to get almost anywhere on the island. Plenty of bike racks stops along the way. Love the secluded paths on the toe of HHI

The bike trails on Hilton Head literally are one of a kind! Our family loves to ride and walk the extensive trails while we are here. The trails meander through the wooded vegetation and are, most of the time, shaded. They are paved and well...More

Hilton Head is very accessible by bicycle but at least in the Shipyard area to Coligny Beach, the trails are a little confusing and there is a bit of a standoff between drivers and cyclists about who has the right away. In many cases on...More

You can get just about anywhere on Hilton Head with multiple paved trails throughout the island. Well marked and maintained and no hills. When on Hilton Head, bike riding should be an essential part of a vacation.

We rent bikes every time we go to Hilton Head. You will find miles and miles of the most scenic paths you could ever want. They wind around the island and you can travel into some of the plantations. There is a charge for bikes...More

Hilton head island is my favorite place to ride. I have rented bikes for last week in June for more than 20 years and am never disappointed. If I am in sea pines I like to ride early to avoid crowds. I have been on...More

I would bring the off road bikes so you could use them on the beach also.

Best option is to rent large tire cruiser bikes from one of the many bike places on the island. The bikes pick up a lot of sand and salt on beach which you would not want on your personal bike

Yes, many of the bike rentals have adult trikes for about $70 a week. They deliver to and pick up from your condo or hotel.
