A challenging, but not threatening, golf course that features a collection of interesting holes including one with a beautiful coastal marsh as a backdrop.Carved out of 190 acres of breathtaking low country terrain, Oyster Reef Golf Club's spectacular 18-hole championship course is surrounded by winding lagoons, lush vegetation, and scenic views of the Island.Golf course architect Rees Jones used the natural landscape to create an inspiring course that combines challenge with a sense of fair play. Ranging from 7,014 yards from the championship tees, to 5,288 yards from the forward tees, the course rewards and tests golfers of all skill levels. Oyster Reef Golf Club is home to one of the most spectacular golf holes on the entire island, the Par 3 #6, which plays 192 yards from the championship tees to a green that is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Port Royal Sound.

We have been playing this course annually for nearly two decades. It is a beautiful setting nestled within Hilton Head Plantation. The plantation was hit hard by Hurricane Matthew in October with thousands of trees brought down on the golf course. The cleanup is underway but one could see the incredible damage to the sides of the fairways where the... More

Played here with three other couples. The course is in pretty decent shape after Hurricane Matthew. The course superintendents have done a very good job in getting it playable, almost as good as when I played here a couple of years ago. It is part of the Heritage group so there are certain standards to maintain. We felt really sorry... More

Great golf course and one of the best courses for every level golfer on the island. Conditions are always good, I play there at least 4 times a month. Staff is excellent - from pro shop, to cart and bag drop guys to restaurant. Top of my list for golf on HHI.

this course had water, natural views along with beautiful homes along the holes. Staff was friendly, but did charge a cart fee for those who were not playing golf. (understandable)

A true local favorite, almost always in great shape. Greens were in good condition compared to the last time we played there. All things considered, $58 for a local is stealing, especially when you can play courses for $45 and under normally. Regardless, will continue to come back and play as our group of players love the course and the... More

Somewhat unexpectedly, I had about the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. We are not talking fine dining here but the fish was fresh with a delightful taste. Breading was crisp and had no taste of oil. The fries were hot and crisp and tasted "just right". Portions were just right for a lighter lunch. Can't quite give... More

We loved it here. The course was in good shape and the staff was super friendly. Very fine grounds, club house and restaurant. We loved the tuna sandwiches and the turkey as well. Will be back.

We were looking for a golf course that was neither too pricey nor too challenging and I think we hit the mark here. Friendly staff lent us a golf bag for our 2nd set of clubs that we had put into one bag for our long car ride for vacation. We were the last tee time at 5:30 and we... More

The bellman at the bag drop-off, told us that our late tee-time we had booked, plus the fact that the previous players before us, teed off over a hour and a half ago, would ensure a fast round of nice golf for us- . As I glanced over my shoulder, there was a group of players on the tenth tee,... More

I played very early in the morning and was fortunate to get paired with another golfer. I am a 10 handicap and played the blue tees which was the right call. Well laid out with a few strong doglegs, but most holes just have the appearance of doglegs due to positioning of fairway bunkers. Fairways and greens were in great... More
