Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Betlehem is definitely worth seeing. Details in the woodwork are simply amazing, great depiction of Slovak traditions as well as castles in Slovakia. I’ve seen it couple of times already and yet I’m still amazed.

One carver made this entire scene - amazing! Plus it moves! The intricate history of Slovakia is laid out with the scene from Bethlehem in the center - fantastic.

This small shrine has an attraction which is a Bethlehem made by a local craftsman. It depicts the countryside scenes in a naïf but curious way. It’s a good opportunity for families with small children to discover the small details together. Enjoy!

We waited a few minutes for someone to let us in, but there's a phone number on the door if nobody is there, and they will come to let you in. Wonderful craftsmanship and quite amazing kinetic nativity scene with places carved in wood from around slovakia.

In the village of Rajecka Lesna is located this wonderful site which is about 30 Km south of Zilina. This woodcarving work by Josezef Pekara began in 1980 and was finished in 1998.
The visitors can find the history and traditional way of the Slovak life.
Many wooden figures can move and work. Some parts describe part of Slovakia such as Bratislava and many other regional scenes.
Free entry - voluntary contribution .
Open all week beside Monday.

I would not miss this unique place !!!!

Beautiful wood sculpture. Many moving parts. Especially nice for children. If you are in the neighbourhood, do not miss it. As non-Christians it is cute. For believers it might be more important.

Slovak wooden Betlehem - beautiful attraction with moving pieces from the famous artist Mr Pekara.
This rare attraction reflects the Slovak history and the daily life of Slovak people. The most known places - Bratislava, Nitra, Trencin, Trnava, Kosice, Spis with their castles and the High Tatra's mountain Krivan - one of the Slovak symbols.
The Slovak Betlehem is 8,5m long 2,5m wide and 3m high with 300 pieces and almost an a half of them is moving . It is a life geography and history exercise book.
