The At the Chef’s Table Culinary Tour affords guests the opportunity to sit at the tables of some of the city’s top chefs and sample their signature dishes. Tours include special access and experiences that go far beyond the normal dining encounter. Not only do you get to meet the chefs and sample their creations, but you also get to see cooking demonstrations (usually offered on Tuesday tours), eat in elegant private dining areas, and more. Stops include visits to: Nose Dive (Gastropub) Soby's on the Side (Deli and Catering)* The Lazy Goat (Mediterranean cuisine and tapas) Soby's New South Cuisine (fine Southern cuisine) Passarelle Bistro (French inspired cuisine) Beyond the memorable culinary experiences, you will also learn fascinating insights into Greenville’s rich history, culture and architecture as well. (*If a restaurant has a schedule conflict, a stop at The Loft at Soby's or Papi's Tacos may be substituted. )

This is a great Saturday afternoon adventure. Don't eat breakfast, because you will be well fed on this tour. It's a lot of food (and drink). You will want to do this tour again and again, because the food will be something different , unique, and delicious each time . John says in 10 years of doing these tours, he's... More

I took the "At the Chef's Table" culinary food tour, which combines tasting great food and learning about the history of downtown Greenville. The food and drinks from all the stops were excellent. The chefs were informative and you could tell they really love their work and helping people to enjoy good food. We went to places I would never... More

Everything was fantastic! I can't believe how much of a good time you can have on a culinary tour, but this was amazing! We got the tickets as a Christmas present to use for date night and it was the best date night ever!

What an awesome fun experience this was. I highly recommend it for groups or just a couple looking for a gastronomic adventure. As a group, we walked to and ate at at numerous up-scale restaurants. It was a chance for the chef to show off so we had very different eating experiences. By the time the tour ended, we were... More

21 people were on the tour. The group included men and women. The food and drinks were great and John's history lesson was good as well. We heard great comments from the group. We would recommend the tour.

We've lived in Greenville since 1974 but we learned some new things on this tour. We had never heard of Chicora Women's School, which was on a hill in the west end for a brief time in the 1800's. We didn't know that Duke's Mayo started in the pavilion next to the river. The tour was fun, the company congenial.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food tour - and it was great to learn a bit of the history of Greenville, various downtown buildings, and the restaurants. The food at each location was great, and we also enjoyed the beverages that were provided at each stop. Each food item was very different from each other, and we liked being able to... More

If it was even possible, the second time I did the tour was even better than the first. I learned different, and fascinating historical details, about Greenville that I didn't pick up on the first time and now that I've lived here longer, it was even more interesting. But the food, can we talk about the food?! Totally different than... More

It was our first trip to Greenville as well as our first food tour and it turned out to be a very yummy and informative afternoon. Our guide John did an awesome job giving us historical information about Greenville and was very knowledgeable about all five of the restaurants we visited. The food was good at some places, excellent at... More

Great food, great company, great experience! Bill and I had never done a food tour before and will definitely consider one again. John was a knowledgeable leader who didn't disappoint.
