This museum takes you through the regional history of the area from the 18th century to present. We had not researched it before going so we had no idea what to expect and we were lucky enough to see two great traveling art exhibits; a...More

We actually came to Greenville because this museum had the Curious George exhibit for kids that is traveling around the country. Our son loved it. It was much much smaller than I had anticipated and from what I had researched online. Perhaps this is because...More

A great museum that explains the history of the upcountry of South Carolina. Furman University sponsors this museum. It covers history, art, science, & culture. When we went there was an excellent exhibition of Ansel Adams's photography. That was a wonderful surprise! They have a...More

Decide to visit because of the sign for the Ansel Adams exhibit. Much of the informative films are about the Upcountry and its history. The Ansel Adams exhibit was interesting, but disappointingly small. There is also an exhibit about the Gulf War art, which is...More

This was the second of two museums I visited in Greenville. The M&G was extremely underwhelming, which probably explains why it is now permanently closed. This one gave me a better glimpse of Greenville's culture and history, and the large stairway was phenomenal. Also loved...More

We went to see a special exhibit of the art of Dr. Seuss which was displayed beautifully. We also saw an Ansel Adams exhibit which was excellent. The permanent exhibit of the history of Greenville was informative and well done.

The parking is right behind the building, not far from the entrance. I can't say for sure about the handicap parking. I would presume there is a requirement for a couple of spaces, though.
