Great educational outing

This place was clean, well maintained and very educational. Great for quieter visit after too much beach time or just for an interesting outing.

The employees/volunteers are great and very willing to go over and beyond answering questions and even allowing you to get up close and personal to the animals! Love the set up and will be sure to keep this on our places to visit on further visits to the island!

My grandchildren were thrilled and amazed at the Serpentarium, but it's not my thing....snakes, and alligators and crocs, oh my!! The man who runs the Serpentarium is very knowledgeable about snakes, and he loves to talk to you about them!

My family went to the serpentarium and we really enjoyed it. I saw my 2 grown boys turn into kids again. Who said there is nothing to do on Edisto? We had a ball, even Mom liked it, snakes and all.

The kids had a great time here. It was very educational and entertaining. We loved the show and holding the alligators.

This is very interesting. Make sure you get there in time to see the snake show, and alligator feeding. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The snake show is great for kids four and up. They ask that small children don't move around during the poison snake part (the snakes can't get to the kids but could be bad... More

We had a great time taking our 3 (almost 4) year old here for a day out of the sun. The staff was extremely friendly and great with the kids. Our son loved it! The grounds were extremely well taken care of. The alligators were so cool to see. They offer a discount of 10% if you are a AAA... More

On our second trip to Edisto we decided to check out the Serpentarium. They have a AAA discount which helps a little with the price. The animals are very well cared for, shown by one alligator and two crocodiles having nests with eggs. We saw the alligator feeding and the snake show at which, we learned a lot about the... More

3rd visit. Expensive and the place isn't really that big but my kids love going. It's warm/hot in all areas so if you overheat easily this is not the place for you. Has a gift shop. You can buy food to feed the turtles. Definitely check that alligator and snake feeding schedule online before you plan your visit so you... More

I almost forced my teens to go with us (ages 12-17) but I'm glad I didn't, they would have been bored and at $15 per ticket, we'll I'm glad we didn't spend it on them. Instead, we took our four year old and he loved it!!! There's not a ton to do, but he enjoyed walking around and looking for... More
