A little pricey for the amount of animals and size of zoo. Fun time. Spent about 4 hours. Fed the giraffes. Pet a llama. Many animals asleep. Worth visiting.

All children love to see the animals in natural areas instead of cages. Zoo never has bad odors except for the flamingos. All exhibits are well done and properly maintained. The botanical section across the river is a must see for plant lovers. Only problem...More

This is a relatively small zoo compared to others in a reasonable driving distance. My fiancé and I met my parents there for the first official "meet the parents" activity. Wasn't too loud, didn't take up a lot of time, however, they had just introduced...More

Our grandson had a birthday party at Riverbanks zoo, it was very well organized, with games, animal interaction and food. We all had a lovely time, and came away with a lot of knowledge on several animals

I highly recommend this zoo to anyone looking for a day out. They have a wide variety of animals, and the zoo is large enough to spend several hours. I definitely enjoyed my visit.

We visited the zoo as a family and it was nice. I thought a little pricey, it was $17 per person. They have a bird area so that you could feed the birds and the birds sometimes can be held.

Wonderful Christmas lights, hot choc, "fake" snow. Great experience to kick off the season. Expensive, but worth it. Dress warmly and enjoy.

Many to choose from in close proximity. Embassy Suites is about a 1/4 mile from the zoo entrance.

I would recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton, on Greystone Blvd., i have stayed there when traveling with family to visit the zoo. They have a delightful indoor pool. It's also very conveniently located, close to the zoo.

I would say water yes, cooler no. There is a picnic area outside of the zoo, near the bus parking by the river.
