My daughter played there for a junior golf tournament. The course was challenging but in excellent condition. The food staff and pro shop personnel were very friendly and helpful. This is a first class facility that some country clubs could take a lesson from!

On our way to Charleston, we discovered this beautiful picnic area on the lake at this state park. We packed a lunch and it was a perfect place to stop, eat, and relax before continuing our journey. The picnic area is past the golf course....More

We played in two foursomes today. The course was in very good condition. As a senior, I only paid $25.00 to play. Others paid $30.00. The refreshments were reasonably priced.

We have stayed here a couple of times. The park is a couple of hours drive for us so it makes a nice getaway. The campground is located by the lake with wonderful views of the sunset. There are all the typical water related activities...More

Stopped by to play a quick 9 holes. 10$ with cart ! I guess that is an off season rate, but you can't beat that. Course was in good condition for early March.

I have been to state park several times and usually for walk. Been in Cheraw for a year and observed families enjoy BBQ or swimming. Few of friends have done kayaking and they said it's fun. But I like to come here for a walk...More

The hiking is a little lacking (one main trail and only a 1 or 2 mile loop I think), but the kayaking and canoeing are great. There is a beach and nice Vb court.
