This is a city with a deep food history and this tour gives access. Our guide, Sarah, introduced us to this history over grits, spices and seafood.highly recommend it.

Upon heading all of the rave reviews of the tour I thought it was a must-do. You essentially walk through an old building that has nothing on the inside. There are a couple of new replicas of jail cells and some ropes hanging from ceiling in one room but that's about it. The guide had good stories but lacked in... More

Absolutely wonderful tour! We are locals here in Charleston and won tickets for this tour from my work. My wife and I couldn't have had a better experience. Our guide, Mary, has been doing this for 30 years and grew up in Charleston. The tour starts downtown around market street and visits several restaurants, the Spice Exchange, and a sweet... More

This tour is an absolute must when visiting Charleston for the first, or even second time. You are guided through several sections of the city with tour guides who are personable and well versed in Charleston's history and how the architecture and politics shaped the city.

Two-hour walking tour of the former walled city of Charleston. Our tour guide, Beth, brought humor, verve and energy to the tour. We could not stump her with any of our questions, and concluded she was the sort of person we wished we could hang out with.

Tour was spooky and interesting. We learned much about Charleston history and why it is the most haunted city in America. Made you think - believers and non-believers alike. Kept kids (ages 10-13) interested. Scary but not too scary. Our guide was awesome!

We had a great tour of the Old Jail with Stephen and the Graveyard (with haunted building stories along the way to it) with Joy! They know their stuff and are really good at informing, entertaining and recounting historical events there! If you're in Charleston, SC and looking for something unique to do - this is it!

My boyfriend and I went on the haunted jail tour tonight with the excellent tour guide Will! He was incredibly informative, friendly, and really made the tour exciting. We had a small group so it felt much more intimate than a typical large tourist crowd. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn about the history of the jail... More

Enjoyed the walk and learning the "Dark Secrets" of Charleston. Tour guide was funny, friendly, and accommodating. We decided to go on a rather brisk night and he even included a pre-tour stop at Kaminsky's for a hot coffee. Would do another tour again if presented the opportunity!
