Our beach house was a ten minute walk to the lighthouse. This made it nice to go and visit several times while we were there. We would visit for the sunrises and be able to get an awesome view of the lighthouse, which was closer to land than I thought it would be. Pictures don't do it justice.

Morris Island is a beautiful island that is pristine, great for finding ocean treasures or for walking in the footsteps of history. It is one of my favorite islands...

A short walk from the end of Folly Beach to the closest point to the lighthouse offers great photo opportunities especially at sunset.

Take a short walk out to the lighthouse and see this beauty standing in the middle of the water! You can't actually go up the lighthouse one foot but can see if from Folly Beach. Morris Island Lighthouse is in need of saving so make sure to pay at the enterance to help Save The Light....and leave a little extra... More

Cant get out to it thanks to Morris island eroding away years back in the tides. The goal is one day to change that but for now - enjoy it from the beach or take a boat ride out. (Bring your own boat!) There is a lot more land there than there used to be around it and I know... More

Little bit of a walk to the beach, but WAY worth it. Beach is so pretty and clean, but the shells are all broken so don't go there for shelling. Great picture taking for beach and lighthouse, but don't expect to walk to the lighthouse, you'd have to take a boat. Word is, if you get there there are great... More

you can't get right out to the lighthouse but it is an interesting walk out to look at it. You can see that no amount of money or work will save this lighthouse...

This is where my husband proposed, so of course it's get a 5-star review! Unbiased as I can though, it really is beautiful out there. It's pretty secluded too, so a nice and relaxing get away from the hustle and bustle of S.C. Very romantic and fun little spot!

I parked at the end of Folly Beach and took the old abandoned road that leads out to the end of the island where there is a very secluded beach area that overlooks the Morris Island Lighthouse. You could take a boat and go over to the lighthouse, but would not want to go at high tide. The road that... More

If you take a boat out at particularly low tide you can get close to the light house. You cannot go up in it but it is a beautiful landmark. Shell hunting is great around the area as it is only accessible by boat. The views are pretty amazing.
