Charleston Outdoor Adventures offers a very enjoyable trip to the lighthouse. During the boat ride we saw plenty of birds, quite a few dolphins, a loggerhead turtle & a black/white spoonbill. The lighthouse itself was just off the shoreline & as the tide was going...More

Came here half an hour before the sunset. There's a parking lot nearby which you can pay via phone (the zone is 8463). After a short walk you'll end up at one of the most beautiful beaches you'll see. Dead trees add to the mystique...More

I know they are in the process of renovating Morris Island Lighthouse, and I'm sure that it will be more interesting once that is complete. I liked seeing it, but nothing blew me away about it. The lighthouse can only be accessed by boat. It...More

This is a brief walk on a sandy path to the shore, where you can see Morris Island Lighthouse across the water. There's a beach with driftwood and rocks with breakers.

While you can't technically "visit" the lighthouse, it is definitely worth a trip to Folly Beach to see it. Once on land, this lighthouse is now several hundred feet offshore and is a piece of "must-see" history since it may be gone one day. Imagine...More

A terrific place to go and see the dolphins swim. The sea shells are mostly mussel shells though there are plenty of them.

We used Charleston Outdoor Adventures for our trip to Morris Island. You would need to ask a tour company whether or not animals are allowed on their boats and/or the island!
