Best tour for history of Charleston. You really get to see many structures and learn the history of the "holy city". The tour guide told us plenty of significant stories about drove past many fantastic buildings. Taking a Gray Line tour allows you a great view of the city if you have mobility issues or just want a comprehensive tour... More

We can't do much walking and usually the bus tours are very informational ,which it was. However, the driver Chris had a runny nose and a bad cough. which he did not cover. I have lung cancer and my immune system is weaken, thank goodness I did not catch it. The tour was the most boring one I had of... More

I took the 1.5-hour bus tour of the city. Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable and avoided the goofy humor a lot of city guides seem to have. Great way to see the beautiful old homes of Charleston and learn a bit about this city's complicated history.

Great city tour with Larry. Great history and learned about the row houses. Then he dropped us off at the dock for the boat ride to Fort Sumter. What an awesome day.

The three of us are Southern girls originally from Georgia so we know Revolutionary and Civil War history for our state, but we wanted to know more about South Carolina's. We chose the 1 1/2 hour history tour and it was a wonderful way to get the overview we wanted - and an idea of what we'd want to tour... More

Ok Folks, if you're going to take a tour of Charleston, DO NOT go by bus. As hot or cold it may be it is worth being in the elements to take in the sights with a horse drawn carriage. My friends and I have taken the horse and buggy many times and have always had a wonderful experience with... More

There probably won't be any other small city in the US with more historical and heritage quaint little houses than Charleston. If only it didn't rain, we would have taken an extended tour. Grayline was very efficient. They're the better alternative to the free trolley tour, which could get to be freezing, this time of year.

Chris was our guide and he obviously has been doing this for some time as he had his information down to an art. He was very informative and even allowed us an opportunity to do a visit into one of the churches that is only open to the public for limited time-- and we were there during that time frame.... This was a Gary line tour of Charleston, SC that lasted for 2 hours. Felt this was a great way to get information about this city.

Nice tour on a small bus with just a few people on board; guide gave good commentary, but to my Brit ear, I had a certain amount of difficulty understanding some of it due to his accent! So missed some of the humour I guess, but enjoyable anyway. The old town centre of Charleston is pretty compact and accessible on... More
