They need to spray for mosquitoes there. I would not recommend this place unless u have a mosquito net on. Was really looking forward to this but was so afraid of the dive bombing mosquitos on our car. We did get out when we first got there. All I can say is I hope I don't get the West Nile... More

A little hard to find, north of town, but well worth the visit. Beautiful, old monuments with marsh, river and Ravenel bridge views. Historians and Cival War buffs will greatly enjoy. Pretty pond with lovely white arched foot bridge makes for photographer's dream.

This cemetery stretches forever and affords a gentle breeze from the nearby waterfront. Meander the magnificent paths to see the history of Charleston. A preservationist dream!

Sooo, in this Revolutionary War, Civil War city, a cemetery can really tell a story. This is not location in the historic city of Charleston but rather about a 15 minute drive ( and in not a pretty area....) It will be worth your while to visit it - the live oaks, the ponds, the carved headstones and not to... More

This is where the crew from the H.L. Hunley are buried. The cemetery is very old and there is a section for confederate soldiers and many historical people are buried here. Sprawling with live oaks and Spanish moss, you are transported back to an earlier time.

We drove through the Cemetery at the request of our daughter and are glad we did. What interesting history, seeing the tribute to the Civil War Veterans to the crew of the Henley Submarine.. Very cool..

We went here to see where the H.L Hunley crew was buried, and ran across so many more Military graves. This is a must see for the History enthusiast. We did not have time to tour the entire site. We did get lost trying to find our way out and finally got out with 3 minutes to spare before they... More

This is such a beautiful cemetery! It's a little too large to visit in the summer months, in my personal opinion, but nonetheless fascinating. You can drive through the cemetery and stop along the way when you come across more interesting graves. Simply beautiful and a must if you are a cemetery person like me!
