This is a lovely square where there's always something happening. But the real activity is on Saturday, when there's an open air market including a ton of ready to eat food. We got breakfast and sat on a park bench (there were tables, but we left those for folks with kids). What a relaxing morning, watching the folks eat, shop,... More

The first night we were there, this park was pretty deserted. At dusk, there were homeless people lying asleep on the ground, and I didn't feel quite safe walking though there. The next morning, however, there was a great farmer's market set up,with produce, food trucks and craft vendors. Prices were very reasonable and there were cute dogs everywhere!

We enjoyed a farmer's market and many vendors and entertainers on the Saturday morning. Kids welcome, pets also.

Produce, food, crafts, street entertainers. Fun, fun! 8a-1p April-Nov. Had some great New Orleans coffee and a muffuletta, as well as a caramel/banana-filled crepe.

While in Charleston for a conference, I was delighted to walk over to Marion Square during some free time on a Saturday and discover they had a farmer's market all day, and with live jazz as well! Apparently this runs almost all year, with just a couple of weeks off for Christmas and New Years, and then resumes again in... More

After walking around the city, it was nice to relax in this grassy square. Be certain to visit the Holocaust Memorial located within the square.

Marion Square is a nice green space in the middle of the city where people can sit and relax or attend special events. We visited the square when we attended the Saturday Farmers Market. St Matthew's Lutheran Church provides a nice backdrop on one side and the Citadel Square Baptist Church on the opposite side. There is a Holocaust Memorial... More

It a block that has grass and pathway and no thing seemed very special. it breaks up the urban environment with some green space. Pleasant to look at, but no more than a walk way between King and Meeting Streets and allows you to cross it diagonally so you save a few steps (remember geometry, the sum of the length... More
