Great place to go too. It is really good if you do the beside the scenes tour. There is a touch tank that you get to pet sharks and other sea life.

We have been to a great many aquariums all over the world but I have to say this one truly impressed me. We went on a whim after we missed the boat (literally) on the Fort Sumter tour. We got a bit of a discount...More

I've seen a lot of people complain about the cost of the aquarium for what you get, but you have to understand all that this aquarium does. This is among some of the smaller aquariums I've been to, with the price matching some of the...More

Modest but well designed aquarium had an excellent view of the harbor. 9 exhibits put focus on coastal fauna. No shark tunnel and only one jellyfish display. No wave machine. Good floor to ceiling tank viewing area. Petting zoo area had animals that were used...More

Wasn't sure if we were going to go...it seemed pricey for the size/programming. Realized we could get a little AAA discount and I am a complete and total sea turtle lover so, in the end, couldn't pass up a major sea turtle rehabilitation facility. SO...More

This intimate aquarium packs a lot of fun. Otters, alligators, sharks and more. Take a journey from the South Carolina mountains to the sea.

I was very pleased with our visit to the South Carolina Aquarium and found it to be equally as good but different from the other similar attractions I've visited (Ripley's in Gatlinburg, Chattanooga Aquarium, Atlanta's aquarium). The aquarium is located on Concord Street alongside the...More

Very well maintained and the aquatic exhibits are very interesting. Nevertheless, it's an aquarium and pretty standard from our point of view. Our group of four spent several hours trekking around and found ourselves feeling less then overwhelmed at the end. Partly because the entrance...More

I saw moms with kids in strollers. They got a bit antsy but I did see a mom with a toddler at the touch tank.

We were there for about 2 and a half hours and we listened to the alligator talk, the sea turtle talk and watched the divers in the big tank
