This is a fascinating, historic marketplace with everything from fine jewelry to handmade crafts. The vendors were so friendly and helpful. We bought several unique Christmas gifts here.

The prices here vary, but the products are so diverse and the local aspects of them are so comforting! With all the people, it creates this hustle-and-bustle atmosphere that feels so lively and energetic, plus there's also food around! You can spend half a day...More

An easy visit from a couple of hotels, an indoor series of shops, a Brighton store, St. John's clothing, Papyrus paper goods and the Thoroughbred Club.

This is a gathering place for locals to sell their crafts and goods. Some of the vendors are merely selling an item they have purchased through a wholesaler (EX. scarves) while others are selling their artwork, jewelry, grass weaving, etc. It is not something you...More

My sister and walked all thru out the Market, but we're not really impressed. One booth was really worth stopping at. Cookies! Some of the most delicious cookies I've had. We bought 2 large containers of the Key Lime cookies.

Do not visit this attraction if it is cold outside. Many of the stalls will be empty and very little heating provided. Interesting to walk through and view the many vendor offerings. We did find the prices to be a bit high for their products.

You can't stay in Historic Charleston and not stroll the Market Square-inside and outside. Its a good people watching stroll filled with small booths inside and restaurants outside. We walked on a cold day so it was nice to go inside. Also walk past all...More

We are not really shoppers, so probably not the best to say, however for the history it's great! It's on most of the walking tours and the carriage tours. Interesting to look at, just don't really want the stuff!

Not my favorite place but my wife seemed to enjoy the selection, NO places to sit and wait while she browsed the many shops full of future yard sale debris. There was a bathroom or two as it could take a while to walk the...More

Lindy I'm not sure if it is. I can't see why it wouldn't. It's a tourist place so maybe!

Parking is available alongside the market, If you plan to park there I highly suggest you get there very early. Otherwise there is a parking garage located off King Street which isn't too far of a walk to city market. Plus... More

It's an open air market, but I don't recall seeing any and it's not listed as being dog friendly on the Bring Fido website.
