We drove down to see the lighthouse. It cost $ 5 per person to get into the state park and then $2 per person to go up the lighthouse. It’s a bit pricey if all you do is go up the lighthouse. It was easier...More

There’s a 5.00 per adult (cheaper for senior citizens and children) entry fee to the park, and a 2.00 per person climb fee for the lighthouse. The fees are worth it! The views are phenomenal and beautiful. It’s a nice day trip.

What a beautiful lighthouse! And the views are great, but hang on the wind is pretty strong at the top. There is a platform every 20 feet and there is something to read on the light on every level so you get a little rest...More

great view from the lighthouse. Very reasonable price of 2.00 to climb it and a beach to enjoy. Loved it.

Make sure to keep driving through the park till you reach the parking area for the lighthouse. If you don't, and try to see the lighthouse from just anywhere on the beach, you could miss it entirely as its set far back from the water...More

It was wonderful to be able to climb the lighthouse and find information on each level about the history of the lifehouse and those who once lived there. The outhouses and information of what was once there really created a visual image of what it...More

As I understand the the lighthouse is fine, but the fence around it didn't survive. The island is devastated all the infastructure needs rebuilt. The only part of the island open is at the pier. .
