Don't miss the view from the top

Stunning view and relatively short hike up to the top. Just beware the wind gusts - my husband offered a pair of sunglasses to the ground below!

Due to hurricane damage in October the park is currently closed (lighthouse, office, camping areas). Nature Centre is open, pier partially open. Beautiful area, still a nice drive if you are in area. Lots of birds in parking area and views from pier. One stop open on way to park but marsh boardwalk also out of commission. Park ranger told... More

Love the view from the top. Fabulous over the tree tops. The climb was worth the size strategy effort for the opportunity to look out on the ocean.

Go all the way to the top and take pictures of a great view. Unique museum located nearby with many historical items from bygone days of lighthouse keepers. Lots of parking and walking areas.

If you want to see a lighthouse this is a beautiful area. They charge a couple dollars to let you walk up in the lighthouse and are really sticklers about it.

Located on Hunting Island, SC you can climb to the top and see forever! Has some old out buildings with historic references to read on the ground where the old keeper's housing was.

Lots of downed trees in the area...was told the park would be closed until end of year! Do stop at Beaufort visitors center for updated information on hurricane damage...most everything else in area is open. You can drive by the park
