East Beach is very large and long and crowded on weekends. During the week there is plenty of space and even on the weekends if you want to walk a ways along the sandy shore. Great surf and if you're lucky the occasional glimpse of...More

Was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful beach with clean, clear ocean water and miles of coast. Not a far walk from downtown restaurants, lighthouse, and Taylor Swift mansion! East Beach is one of the only beaches in area without guards at the entrance. Can at...More

Awesome beach. Kinda crowded and no parking. But the beach itself is beautiful. It's huge so there's no need for fears of no spot. I love it. Always my go to beach!!

We went to a couple beaches in CT and RI, and East Beach is easily the best of them all. The sand feels like the Caribbean, and the waves are the right size for either body boarding or swimming. Parking is your biggest issue. We...More

Very pleased with the recommendations for this beach!! We traveled from CT even though it was supposed to be a cloudy day and were pleasantly surprised to a fabulous beach day!

The fact that they charge $25 for parking is a bit ridiculous. The beach however, makes it worth the price. It is such a clean, beautiful beach with sparkling clear water. There isn't much to do directly on the beach, but there is the carousel...More

There is NO bathroom. The sand fine and clean. Not many shells. We got there early and parked in the two hour parking and walked to the beach. We got there early cause my friend said the meter maid doesn't start clocking and timing cars...More

East Beach is a delighful stretch of sand and dunes with a backdrop of waterfront houses. Except for Ocean House, it's completely free of commercial intrusions, and all the more attractive for that reason. Access is the only problem: Locals want this asset for themselves...More

This place is a bit of a walk to get to but it's perfect. Mixed quiet [mostly - lol] crowd and perfect sand. Close to the Ocean House so you can walk up and have a cocktail.

There aren't any easily, quickly accessible right on the beach. We did find some restrooms up by the carousel/merry-go-round - which would be a hike of you really had to go.

There are two main beaches in Watch Hill. The public beach entrance is in town and the beach with free access is up a steep hill. There is no central parking; scattered business owners charge for parking on their property... More
