Scarborough State Beach is a great Rhode Island beach, with soft sand, and water that tends to be (slightly) warmer than most area beaches. There are multiple food shacks, free cold showers, 25¢ hot showers, plenty of flush-toilets, and ample parking, allowing for arrival at...More

However, beware! Late in the afternoon you get a sewer smell from a nearby plant. Other than that, we love this beach. It has a snack bar, showers, pavillion if the sun is too much, handicap parking and ramps, nice sand, good waves for boggy...More

Nice Beach. Decided to head back south early. Had just left Cape Cod because the beaches there were full of rocks, shells and seaweed. Seaweed everywhere. I said lets try Narragansett and we were very pleased. Nice soft sand, clean water. Was a little crowded...More

Parking rates reduced this year. Out of state senior rate $6 Plenty of parking. Picnic tables, bath house and snack bar. Very nice. Prefer south beach over north beach

Nice beach for older teens. Good size waves. Lots of beach to take a walk down. They have things you can rent and also a good size snack bar. Sand can be a little littered but a great place for the older kids.
