This is a pretty lighthouse, but it is surrounded by a chain link fence and a parking lot. We sent there around sunset hoping to capture a picture of the lighthouse with the sunset behind it. Depending on how you capture the picture, there are...More

If you are wanting to get out close to Point Judith Lighthouse don’t make a special trip because the gates are closed to the public. I looked on a visit Rhode Island site and it stated that with advance permission it is possible to visit...More

Beautiful viewing area of the ocean. One solo surfer was braving the cold November waters. The lighthouse was lit while we were there. I believe there is a Homeland Security office right beside the lighthouse. It doesn't look like much of a swimmer's beach, but...More

The view was gorgeous, but there isn't much else to do, and there were a lot of people when we went. Being unfamiliar with the area we didn't realize the coast guard has set up in the lighthouse, so you can't get near it, and...More

Was lucky enough to visit on a nice clear day. Great views of the water in different directions. Next time we'll picnic there.

It's really too bad that the lighthouse is surrounded by an imposing chain link fence that even inhibits getting a good photograph of it. On the good side, there is a good-sized free parking lot with views along the shore and, if you're lucky (we...More

we drove to this light after the ferry. The view from the ferry was distant and not very clear. The light is nice , the signage to the light is very good.

Although the lighthouse is not accessible, it's still nice to visit the area. The beach and coastline are rocky and scenic. Worth a visit.
