An exceptional federal park that has panoramic views of Middletown, Little Compton and the Atlantic. Something to see any time of year and certainly worth a trip either across town, state or even New England. But shhh, we'd like to keep it to ourselves!

We arrived on a blustery October day with dramatic weather on the horizon. Intrepid, we set off along the ocean view trail. Waves crashed on rocks, curtains of blue grey rain drifted over the water in the distance. We got wet, eventually. BRACING! Gorgeous.

I was up in Rhody visiting my sister at college. I was over doing the normal tourist attractions in Rhode Island and the weather was beautiful in Mid-October. We packed a water bottle and headed over to Middletown for an easy walk at Sachuest Point!...More

Its open, check on visitors center hours, sure it would be rough going with all the snow, trails aren't cleared. But some good viewing if you're up to it. Skis or snow shoes???
