I visited on a day when it was 21 degrees with a 35 mph wind so a leisurely winter stroll on the beach was cut short. Someone puts up a Christmas tree on Second Beach each year. It is decorated with seashells and seems to...More

Nice walk along the beach. Lots of sand and shells. Early morning walk was great to start the day before heading out to other attractions.

My son and I had been to 1st beach countless times, but I now know what we have been missing! Smooth sand, beautiful view of land and water, and big enough yet small enough! We will go back!

Huge beach, kite surfers and lots of shells when we went in the Fall last year. Plenty of parking. Great place to take a long walk on the beach.

My favorite family beach. I have been going for the past 16 years and every year they do something to make it even better, great lifeguards and staff, handicap chairs for those who need them,

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in RI, nice white sand and flat for walking. A few shells and rocks, but they are sparse. This beach rarely (if ever) gets red tide, unlike some of the other Newport Beaches-so you don't have to...More
