Great place to walk around morning, afternoon or evening, Lots of good restaurants (Papa Joe's Wrap Shack for Bristolian Pizza is personal favorite), boutiques, spas, coffee shop, and of course nearby Gray's Ice Cream on Thames Street.

We had lunch at Aidan's and enjoyed a stroll around the historic homes and town buildings. Harbormasters building, an old armory is of great interest, as are numerous churches in the area.

I used to live near Hope St. It's a nice, safe place to go for a walk. There are little shops and restaurants. Definetly a good area to check out.

Interesting stores, restaurants and homes to tour or just admire. We enjoyed Linden Place Mansion - didn't tour any others.

Hope Street is a pretty tree-lined street with a range of small and interesting shops and beautiful old homes. Drivers were always courteous and stopped for pedestrians. The restaurants posted their menus in the windows and this was very convenient for diners if they did...More

Assortment of enticing small shops, restaurants, spas, nail and hair salons, bakeries, an historic mansion (Colt/DeWolf families), antiques, florists, art museum, and more! This delightful downtown basically runs on Hope Street (Route 114) from Constitution Street at one end, dwindling to a mixed block (residential/commercial)...More

Is Gordie Milne going to play there this year? I know he opened for the Beach Boys a few years back.

Yes, off of Thames Street, but it is paid parking. Most other spots you have to have a tag for parking on certain streets, but we have many public parking spots available. On our 4th of July no parking on the parade route.
