Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Blind vetern had to pay 5 dollars to walk on the mini golf course to be with his grandchildren. Didn't play golf just to be with his family. Came here since I have been a child very disappointed 😞

This is a very large dairy store selling ice cream and milk shakes, also serving food such as burgers and dogs. It's a sprawling, white, clean, attractive complex of buildings .... ... in the middle of nowhere! If you happen to drive by, you'll be surprised, because this big facility is surrounded by farmland as far as you can see. My wife and I arrived 8pm on an August weeknight with rain in the forecast, and the place was not crowded. But it appears to draw big crowds, judging by the large parking lots and the numerous picnic tables and benches that are provided. Very nice place! Hidden gem. Fun place to visit.

We went to play miniature golf and the lady working in the booth to pay was extremely rude! If I was her boss, she would be fired!! She yelled at my Wife because we "took too long to pay" I couldn't believe how she acted!

This is the best ice cream by far, of any place! The price is a real bargain! I was sorry to read about people being unpleasant because they needed a mask. It’s their business and their rules and it’s safety first for all of us. It’s not as much fun as usual but what is! Their ice cream trumps it all! I come back from Delaware every summer just to take some home!

We've been regular ice cream customers at Heisler's for a while now. This last visit was disappointing. It was a Sunday evening and the crowd was smaller than normal. My grandsons were deciding what they would like to order and had a question. So I approached the ordering window but stayed six feet away from the girl at the ordering window. Her answer included a lecture about mask wearing which was embarrassing and unnecessary. This Heisler's employee belittled me in front of my family and a group of strangers. I was 6 feet or more away (also outside) from everyone which meets all distancing requirements. I would have left Heisler's if I hadn't promised my grandsons ice cream.
With some new competition in the ice cream market, Heisler's needs to value their customers or they will lose much needed business.
The ice cream is still good but the attitude needs to improve.

If you have a health condition, don't even bother coming! They refuse to serve you without a mask! My boyfriend stated he had a health condition that doesn't allow him to wear a mask and the acting manager just ignored what he had to say. Then they sent over two of their teenage boys (security) to tell us to get out. How do they get away with this?!?! Their establishment is outdoors and there are people all around sitting on their property within feet from the takeout windows, with no masks on! Last time I checked, McDonalds, Wendys, Taco Bell, KFC, Arbys, BK, they all serve you from the to go window without denying you service if you don't have a mask. This establishment better get a reality check. They also completely disregard the actual mask mandate which states that you don't have to wear a mask if you're 6ft away, so they are making up their own laws.

I'll never come back to this over priced, rude, tyrannical and unpatriotic establishment ever again! Neither will the couple that came with us. We have a choice here in America, we can do what we want with our bodies! How dumb would you be to turn away business when people are dying to work right now!
Completely unacceptable! This won't be the last you hear about this!

I have been going to Heisler's since the early 90's and today I brought my wife on the long trip there for her first time. Dealing with the heat and humidity during 18 holes of Miniature golf made the ice cream even more enjoyable. We will be back soon

They have the best ice cream!! It is definitely a treat. Also the food is pretty good as well. They stay extremely busy on the weekends!!! As soon as the weather fairs up in the spring this place is blowing up with business. It was always one of my favorite places to go while visiting Tamaqua. If you ever visit you have to go here!!!

We just decided on a whim to take a ride to Heislers on a warm summer evening. The place was packed with cars and people but lots of parking was still available. They had a band playing and people sitting in their chairs they brought enjoying the food, music and evening. Their ice cream is delicious, their fast food average and excellent prices! We sat and watched people hitting golf balls on the double chairs listening to the music. It’s fun for the entire family! The have an arcade for kids and two miniature golf courses that are fun to play! It’s a nice time and beautiful scenery!
