I visited Roadside America years ago with my children and recently went again with my grandchildren. It is an amazing place. It is a miniature landscape with trains, trolleys, animals, and much more. All of the parts were built by the original owner of the...More

Been over 50 years since I last visited Roadside America. While the train garden remains impressive and inspiring, the surrounding support shows age. Displays that delighted the ears and eyes in the 1960's, were silent and immobile. The building needs maintenance and the bathroom has...More

The dedication that built this up is almost unbelievable. Wish I had my younger grandchildren with me, they would so have loved this place. In today's fast paced world the older ones would rather look at their phones, but I thought this place was awesome.

Roadside America is a reminder of what makes this country great. The history of this place, the dedication to continuing to provide this amazing trainscape to generations, is incredibly moving. I admit it's also simultaneously hokey, and Native Americans (here decidedly viewed as American Indians)...More

I took my kids and grandkids to Roadside America, for $8ish per person it was well worth the trip. Hasn't changed since I was a kid, but that makes it feel like a classic!

If you're in the area this attraction is well worth seeing. You will likely spend an hour here, and because of the lack of A/C or ventilation that will probably be enough. It's a step back in time, certainly a labor of love in building...More

This attraction may not be worth a trip just for this, but it is ABSOLUTELY worth it if it's not too far out of your way. The miniature village truly needs to be seen to be believed, and other than basic maintenance they have not...More

Have frequently driven by this attraction, but made sure to stop this time after hearing the story that it’s for sale. I’m so glad we did! Beautiful diorama display, much larger than I had anticipated. There are many moving features (cable cars, wood chopper, water...More
