An amazing glance back in time to a world War two Era submarine. Although this subject was commissioned in this time frame, it didn't see war time action. As you walk through the sub, your admiration only grows for the brave men who served on...More

This retired U.S. submarine is way cool to visit.I seriously doubt I could live on it for an extended period of time as its crew so obviously had to. The ancient, almost jerry-rigged nature of the vessel's mechanics is fascinating. Every square inch is used....More

Had a great visit with my kids (9&11) at New Year's Eve. You only have to show proof of admission if you go below deck, where a couple of friendly and knowledgeable staff are there to answer questions and point you in the right direction....More

This is included with the Carnegie Science Center admission. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a really cool walk through tour of the submarine. It has rooms closed off showing typical items to be found in the submarine and it also has...More

By buying admission to the Science Center, you can explore the workings of a submarine. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a tour of a underwater vehicle for adults and children. This may be the only time you get to explore a submarine. Wear...More

Need a taste of the military life, then visit the USS Requin. Everything is done well with attention to details. It was very informative for a non military person.

Great exhibit, the self guided tour was excellent. We stopped and chatted to a member of the museum staff located in the front torpedo bay, he was extremely knowledgable and really knew the history and the operation of the Sub. We didn't go into the...More

You can still l park in the Museum lot. I think it is free. You would just walk down to the river and sub is right there. It is cool - small and claustrophobic and every inch is used - I mean every inch!! You will love it.
