We went to the top of Mt. Washington on the Incline. We got there in daylight and we were able to pick out various attractions of the City below us from a viewing area. But the real treat was when the sun set and the...More

Pittsburgh so up the incline we went. Got lucky that traffic was light on a Saturday morning, but it can get heavier around noon. Combine it with a trip behind the observation deck to enjoy some lunch or dinner!

The oldest continuously operating funicular in the U.S. takes you to the top of Mt. Washington and affords you dramatic views of Pittsburgh and its three rivers.

Easily reachable from Station Square (the former P+LE RR Terminal), this popular incline provides another way fo seeing the City from above.

We stumbled upon the incline by accident and glad we did. The ride, itself, is fun but the views at the lookout once you reach the top is extraordinary.

There is ample parking at Station Square at the bottom of the Monongahela Incline. There is also street-side parking on Grandview Avenue (Mt. Washington) at the top of the incline. All parking in Pittsburgh is "pricey".
