Some times you just need to wind down and relax. Our 5 day visit to Pittsburgh was quite hectic. It was a pleasure to relax strolling through Point State Park. Great scenery and very safe and comfortable to walk in.......and they have the cleanest rest rooms in the 'burgh.

Great views from every area of Park. All 3 rivers, Mt Washington, Duquesne Incline, the Steelers & Pirates stadiums are highlights. And the skyline of Pittsburgh of course. Open areas for the kids to run around too. Ft Pitt Block House and the museum well worth a visit also.

A pleasant place to visit, with a lot of history. Parking nearby is expensive, but there is nearby public transportation. It has the Fort Pitt Museum, British Blockhouse (pre-revolution), a nice fountain, shady spots for watching the riberboats, good view of the Incline, etc. Modest admission for the museum, but well worth it. Seems to be popular with school groups

Solitude from downtown yet within walking distance (in dress shoes mind you). Honestly it's prime real estate...very nice views. Recommended if you want some greenery while visiting Pittsburgh.

Don't miss the opportunity to stand at the very location where Lewis & Clark began their historic journey in 1803 to explore the frontier on their way to reach the Pacific Ocean. What an awesome experience to stand where the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers converge to form the mighty Ohio River! DO NOT RUSH this experience! Take in the panoramic... More

I've always want to come here and see one of the most important sites in North American history. It is impressive and the park is well-done. The meeting of the Allegheny and Monagahela Rivers to form the Ohio is impressive and punctuated with a large fountain at the point. Plenty of seating for sitting and pondering, lots of space for... Even though day was drizzly & overcast, very relaxing spot with great views. Several benches in area to sit & unwind. Sat by block house after museum visit and was able to admire the views from the 2nd floor of the museum. More walking than anticipated, so wasn't able to actually walk to point by fountains due to spouse's walking... More

They have done quite a bit in Point Park. Teh walking paths, the fountain, the 3 rivers coming together with the incline in the pacground, makes a very calming serene scenery.
