Pittsburgh has the privilege of being the world's center of industrialist fortunes which were used to benefit the public including the Carnegie Museum of Art. Well worth the visit.

We spent a half day going through these galleries. There is an excellent permanent collection, some of the more contemporary works we weren't able to see due to renovations. But what we saw was great. And the Hiroshige Takaido Road special exhibition is terrific through...More

Caution--75% of the galleries are closed for remodeling. it was disappointing. On the upside it was easy access between Museum of Art and Museum of Natural History

Timeless pieces that only get better. I can spend hours here! There is so much to see and you must go early to be sure you have time to see as much of it as you can.

Not much here if you're used to the Louvre, the Met in NYC, or the Art Institute of Chicago. For those who want to see a touch of this and a touch of that, there are small numbers of wonders sprinkled around the museum.

So many masters and beautifully presented. The gift shop is full of unique items. Takes a couple of hours, but we’ll worthwhile.

This museum, which is under the same roof as a natural history museum, offers a good sample of art and architecture: (1) there are sample actual-sized models of "classical" and medieval buildings; (2) there is a representative collection of paints: medieval, renaissance, modern; not too...More

The collection here is much larger than we anticipated. We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 Van Gogh's, several impressionists. Many ancient works, glass, modern art - very enjoyable day!
