Although smaller than many major art museums, the Carnegie's collection is on par with the best. The range of eras and genres represented is broad and the special exhibits are always thoughtfully designed. My family and I enjoyed our annual pass (2011-2012) which included all...More

Really interesting pieces they have. It may be small but you can spend hours there. If you go to the Natural History Museum and didn’t think of making a stop here I would think twice.

There is a huge room with casts of statues. Very interesting and in one place you can see artwork from all over the world. The painting collection is broad and interesting. Very well laid out. We spent a day there. There is lots to see.

I spent several hours looking at the art and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I especially liked the European and American Art ca. 1820-1860.

Lots to see at this museum. My favorite was the Contemporary Art galleries. Good to see works by people other than white guys. AND, it's connected to the Natural History Museum. Amazing place.

The current photography exhibit is worth a visit, very interesting. Now for the paintings, a nice collection of some of the most important artists. From realism to impressionism and what is sadly called art today, the Museum offers sampling of all. Perhaps you will take...More

Quite often major art museums/galleries can overwhelm the senses but here you can see the work of well known (and lesser known) artists ans sculptors in quantities which allow everything to be taken in.
