Not very diverse or extensive it was an enjoyable few hours but not fantastic. There are a lot of glass sculptures nestled in between the plants which at times I felt took away from the natural beauty.

Phipps Conservatory is a Pittsburgh Mainstay since 1893. Not only are the flowers amazing but they also have classes for children to learn more about nature and the environment. Reasonably priced. We usually take our grandchildren with this time it was just us. We saw...More

Around the holidays there is a beautiful display of decorated trees, wreaths and glorious plants and flowers. Tiny white lights adorn the pathways as there are decorations inside and outside. It's beautiful to visit any time of year, but a real treat to get you...More

I can find no parking on the website closer than an 11 minute walk from the island in the middle or the highway according to google maps. My 82 year old mother will be too pooped to stroll through the gardens if she has to hike from the highway. Is there any place to park closer than this? It doesnt have to be free. She doesnt have a handicapped placard.
