I wanted to go up to Mt. Washington on my most recent trip to Pittsburgh. Friends said to try the Incline. Sorry, I didn't know what the Incline might be. For those that have taken the trip, you know the feeling. You leave town and cross the Monongahala River. Signs point you to Mt. Washington, and to the Incline. Following... More

The Duquesne Incline is a must for everyone who visits or lives in Pittsburgh. I will never forget the first time my father took us up the incline and then we shared ice cream and looked down onto the three rivers.

Long line, long wait, not a whole lot of thrill. But that being said, why not take this incline up to see the top of Mt. Washington? I would do it the same way even though I only gave this a fair rating of three stars. If you are paying with credit card, and live in canada (so your credit... More

Parking 2 hours = $5 Ticket round trip for 4 = $20 View = priceless Who knew a simple trajectory of funicular railway would bring such pleasant surprise. It even pleased a hard to satisfy teenager.

Great historical ride up the Incline. Great view from up top of the city. Awesome historical photos of the area hanging inside the building up on top. Free guided tour of the gear room to see how these cars go up and down. If you go bring cash and small bills. They only take small bills. $2.50 for adults one... More

The incline is a unique experience for Pittsburgh. Great to catch for games but also great for the views. If you've never been to Pittsburgh you have to check out the incline--especially at night when the view of the city and the point are the best!

I've ridden this many many times and it's always a cool time as you watch the roads below you as you approach Mt. Washington or the river below you as you go back down to Station Square. The Incline is a must ride when you visit our city.

Went to check the incline out to see what it was like and was very unimpressed. Unless you love or like to eat at the top of the incline it really is not for people out of town. Giving that it is really old I do recommend checking it out cause at the top is a small museum of the... More

A ride on the Duquesne Incline provides a unique sightseeing experience along with a great view of Point State Park. You'll end up on Grandview Ave on Mt. Washington with an opportunity to visit a number of excellent restaurants with an equally great view of Pittsburgh.
