I would give 0 stars if possible! My son, 2 grandsons and I went Saturday for the first day of the Halloween events and it was an awful experience. There were only about 6 people handing out candy throughout the park and few basic Halloween decorations. Many food concessions were closed or only had part of the advertised menu. The facility seems to emphasize arcade games (which of course all cost extra) We have been to Disney World and Dorney Park dozens of times and always feel there is good value for the money. This was a wasted day.

Sesame Place - Nice small amusement park!
Sep 2021
I decided to visit Sesame Place the weekend after Labor Day weekend in hopes it would be less crowded. I went on the last day (Sept 12th) that the water park was open. It was still very crowded. Overall, I had a good experience at the park. The park has an easy layout to follow so not hard to get lost and easy to find attractions you want to see. I had no trouble finding parking and did buy general parking ticket ahead of time. Also it didn't take long at all to go thru security and entrance into the park. It was pretty hot and I don't do well in the heat and I really liked that they had power breezers througtout the park which was a big help! Also I loved the lazy river and great place to cool off and didn't have to wait long in line.
Although the other water lines seemed to have long lines. I should have arrived when park opened but got their later in afternoon. There are many bathrooms /changing rooms throughout the park as well so that was nice not having to walk far to find them. I got to see the parade with Sesame St. characters and even the 9/11 tribute parade which were both very nice. Some things that could be improved would be lower prices (parking, park admission, lockers, food). I was going to get a locker but $40 is just too much! Also, I felt there could be more of a selection of food offered at the cafeterias and prices were too high. Also, could be more help (servers, cashiers) as I did have to wait quite a bit in line. Other than that it was an overall nice experience and would recommend!

Great experience the weekend after Labor Day!
Sep 2021 • Family
After reading a lot of negative reviews, I was nervous - but we had a fantastic time with our almost two-year-old daughter.

The park was not crowded the the weekend after Labor Day and I’m sure that makes a huge difference in experience. Ride lines were quite short which means we got to ride every ride my daughter could go on (the majority of rides) - some multiple times! My daughter also enjoyed Ernie’s waterworks and the tiny tidal pool in Twiddlebug Land.

Another key to our great experience was staying just across the street at the Springhill Suites. There is a walkway from the hotel to the park (less than a five minute walk). Staying close by allowed us to skip parking (and the $25 fee) and made it easy to head back to the hotel for nap time and then back to the park in the afternoon/evening.

Our favorite feature of the park was probably the shows. We especially loved the Our Street is Sesame Street show featuring Big Bird and Abby and Elmo (in puppet form). We also LOVED the parade. Because of the small crowd size we were able to watch from the front row with no problem. Grover and the Count came over to say hello and our daughter was thrilled! (Not going to lie, I loved it too). The parade brought out just about every Sesame Street character you could think of - even Bert, Ernie and Prairie Dawn!

We also did Breakfast with Elmo first thing in the morning of our first day. Unfortunately, because of Covid, I don’t think the characters were as interactive as normal. Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover and Abby were there. They took photos and sang and danced but didn’t walk around to the tables or interact with the kids which was too bad. We had hoped that, by doing the breakfast, we could avoid doing meet and greets during the day, but because of the Covid changes, we ended up doing an Elmo meet and greet so that my daughter could interact with him (kids are allowed to touch the characters outside at the meet and greets, but not inside at the breakfast).

One thing we would have loved to see is more meet and greets with characters other then Elmo. We very rarely saw characters walking around the park (we did spot Rosita and Murray at one point).

Our advice - visit for more than one day if you can, preferably when crowds are small. September after Labor Day worked great for us. Stay at a hotel nearby so that you can walk to the park. Bring plenty of water and a few small snacks. We chose to eat at nearby restaurant (there were plenty nearby) rather than in the park and I think that was a good choice for us. it gave us all a chance to relax in the air conditioning and recharge for the afternoon.

Finally, we saw several negative comments in the reviews about park staff, but we had a great experience - everyone was friendly and helpful, performers were great, and the park seemed to be well run and organized.

First timers
Sep 2021
We were first timers going to Sesame Place on Sunday 9/5/21 Labor Day Weekend. We had a great time overall. The smile on our daughter's (age 2) face was worth everything.

We got to the park for opening. Unfortunately we had 2 meltdowns prior to even going in - the entry staff raised the gates at 930, we didn't know there was breakfast with Elmo. We got to the ticket taker and were turned around, obviously the little one upset. Then they told people waiting that all lines were open, a bunch of people went over to the season pass line and got turned away after getting out of the regular line. Anyways, gates open at 10am promptly.

We went and did the dry rides first and scoped things out.

We did lunch with Elmo and friends. Overpriced for the quality of the food but everything we had was good. It was nice having a little "break" late morning/lunch time. It was great to see the characters up close.

My husband splurged and got the magic queue tickets when we got to the park. At first we were really nervous that we wasted a whole bunch of money as we were able to get on all the rides without a line. However, after lunch is when it was totally worth it! We skipped every single line.

Water was freezing. We did have a quick float in the lazy river and then did the big slide with the rubber ducky. Our daughter was too cold after that to keep going so we changed back into dry clothes.

Staff was great. Parade was fun. Some guests were rude and you just can't control that. Overall we had a great time.

Very crowded, not a lot of shade so on a hot day it can be rough. We would go back, but not during peak season and not when the water park is open - no policing of the dress code (is there one?) so we saw so many body parts just hanging out, and it was gross. This was the first place where we felt like we had to keep an eye on our wallets/belongings. Dine with Elmo was cute, but food was like high-school cafeteria food at best. I'm glad we did it because the snack bars were so packed. A lot of food places were closed, Oscar's Wacky Taxi was closed, and it looked like a couple others were closed. Character experiences were cute, but the employees weren't watching or policing the line much and we had a whole family cut in front of us when we were waiting to see Elmo. They also weren't great with regulating lines out in the park with Bert and Ernie. The park itself was clean, rides were clean and looked well-kept and maintained, but the staff would do well with a little TLC and training. Your staff is only as good as their leadership and examples.

Not what we hoped for
The park was extremely crowded, the bathrooms are disgusting and unkept. The staff has a poor uninviting attitude, at times aggressive. Outside of the parade, there were no characters in sight. The gift shops are empty and unorganized. Food and beverage options are ridiculously limited, unappetizing, and the absurdly long lines at food vendors.

Sesame Place Not Worth It
Aug 2021 • Family
Where do I begin? It’s a very nice place and I live the smiles on my kids faces for the most part. However when we had to stand on line to go on a ride for almost an hour for a ride that take less than 2 minutes is beyond ridiculous. The employees manning the rides should know how to move faster when counting the people that are going on a ride and how many seats are left.
We went on the lazy river and it took 35 minutes just standing on line and then when we got down to the water to get tubes we waited another 15 minutes because there wasn’t enough tubes for everyone waiting.
We also got the photo pass and it was a HUGE WASTE of money. Almost no characters were out and ready to do photo ops and staff weren’t around ready to take pictures in most places. We were highly disappointed in this add on and will not get it again if/when we decide to go back again.
There was also no mention of characters being out in the street. By the time we realized it was too late and my kids never got to take pictures with all the characters.
It’s nice to go and say you went but I’d you have the option for sesame place or someplace else choose wisely.

Don't waste your time or money!!

I am a FIRST time season pass holder. When selecting my plan I decided to purchase a plan with preferred parking. During my first visit to the park after waiting in line for what seemed like forever I get to the gate only to be told that the preferred parking lot is closed. I explained to the person that the park literally just opened no more then 2 hours prior to my arrival. She told me parking is on a first come first serve basis. When I purchased my plan NO WHERE did it state that preferred parking was on a first come first serve basis if so I wouldn't have purchased that particular plan. After driving there with two kids I inquired about General parking and I was told that it was closed too. She recommended I park at the mall then walk to sesame place. I DID NOT PAY FOR THAT!! I decided to suck it up for the kids and that's what I ended up doing. When I finally get past security check I go to print my guest tickets as well as the $10 free spending money that expired that day. However, I couldn't because ALL the kiosks were out of service. Another perk on my plan I could not take advantage of was my free spending money. Ok whatever I'm going to try to make the best of this for the kids. Now I am searching for an ATM and guess what ALL the ATM's were out of service. Not only that my niece goes to play a crane game and you guess again ALL FIVE cranes were out of service and one of them took my nieces money. Wait there is more..... On a busy Sunday all of the outside vendors were closed except for a snack place. I go to purchase some snacks and two of their employees were arguing. The one started cursing out the other in front of a line full of kids with their parents. Are you serious right now?? They work at a kids park and was behaving inappropriately like this in front of children. Then later on that day we try to purchase a soda from a vending machine and that doesn't work either. I am paying all this money to have this first experience with my daughter to end up like this. I am so happy she is young enough not to understand what was going on around her at the park but as a mother this place is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Save your time/money and take your kids elsewhere. Let me also mention that I sent an email to customer relations requesting a call back and the only reply I got was parking is on a first come first serve basis. They had no care in the world about all my other complaints. BAD BUSINESS!!!

Thieves parade openly and sesame place does nothing! Never ever I will go again. Won't recommend to anyone. They don't take responsibility for anything.
