This is a real farmer's market--I enjoyed the variety of produce, plants, home-made canned goods, candy, and more! I came home with some dried apple "snitz" (very good!), peanut butter fudge, loose tea (from a man who also sells spices), tomatoes, and cantelope. Since I...More

This place is really over hyped. First off your going to have to pay for parking. Then you get in there and this place is not nearly as big as you are lead to believe. It is just a big overpriced flea-market. Most of the...More

This is one of the must see stops in Lancaster. Located in the downtown area, parking can be a problem. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the street. There must be parking garages around but I am not familiar with the area....More

Time your visit to Lancaster to visit the market, open 3 days per week. The building alone is worth the visit. See all the vendors, food to buy and the building. Best of all, it is FREE. Even parking lot parking nearby is reasonable.

The Market is open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Just to view the old building and the surrounding area is worth stopping. Many market stands with local Lancaster county produce. Oldest continuous operating market in the USA.

Spending a few days in Lancaster for a gals trip we heard the market is open on Tuesday and we made a trip, probably because mid week the place was not swamped and was easy to navigate. Many wonderful finds we got to take home...More

I guess being the oldest market in the nation means you know how to run it, but we've been to others and they just aren't as good. Central Market took us back to our vacation in Grenoble, France with their local market. The fresh produce,...More

Lancaster Central Market is the oldest farmers' market in the U.S. and well worth visiting. Especially loved the Turkey Lady. Bought pretzel sandwiches that were the envy of everyone on our flight home.
