Rock Ford Plantation is the 18th Century mansion and estate of Revolutionary War General Edward Hand, who served as Adjutant to George Washington. Built circa 1794, over 90% of the original historic fabric of the house, including shutters, woodwork, floors and glass, is intact. During the guided tour of the mansion, visitors will learn about Edward Hand's personal and military history as well as the background of the mansion and the artifacts contained therein.

Hannah did such a great job with our large group of nine taking the tour. She answered all of our questions and really made it an interesting experience. We highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lancaster!

Lovely Georgian style country mansion. Charles, our tour guide, was very knowlegable. Apprechiated that one room was left untouched so you could get a real sense of how much work went into restoring the structure.More
