I decided to take the wife on our anniversary to the Nightscape show back in September. We stayed for the weekend at the Fairfield Inn and Suites which is conveniently located about 5 minutes away and in between Longwood Gardens and Downtown Kennett Square. The Nightscape admission buys you a regular ticket to visit Longwood Gardens during the day in... More

Very first time ever to Longwood Gardens. You could just imagine the man hours of work that went into planning and displaying all the highlights of the gardens, the conservatory and other buildings this time of year. Be forewarned about the holiday crowds. The Christmas period requires timed tickets, allow for parking and getting to the main entrance. Enter the... More

My wife suggested we visit Longwood Gardens and see the Christmas display. Well I'm just finishing renovations to our family room and wasn't real keen on the idea. Boy am I glad we did make the trip. It is absolutely beautiful. The lights, the gardens, fantastic tree displays, the history and the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you don't... More

As a member, I visit every few months. Somehow an appreciation of the changing of the seasons is deeper here. At the risk of being trite, you really can "commune with nature" at Longwood.

This is our 3rd visit here for the lights and we were not disappointed. We started off in the conservatory where everything looked great then as it got dark we started our walk round the gardens. We ended the visit with a nice dinner in the café. A great trip!

The new excess parking with shuttle makes the experience so much better. The volunteers and employees were very helpful and informative. If you have reservations the shuttle will take you directly to the conservatory. The light display is always an amazing experience.

Wear very comfortable Walking Shoes. Wheelchairs and carts are available to rent for $20 and $25 . Suggest going about 3:30 and first going into Conservatory to see inside displays. Eat early at the café, which has amazing Mushroom soup. Café and seating gets crowded at regular dinner times. GO out into gardens at night with lights on. Christmas Theme... More

Spent the entire day here, and that's what i'd recommend for all. One needs to start early, the place has so much to offer. The beautiful flowers from across, the globe, the variety of orchids. The tree houses, the walk, the house. Be ready to walk a lot

As a member I try to come see the garden every season. Well worth the time and drive. Can't wait to go back for Christmas and night lights next year as well as fountains next year.
