First time experiencing Longwood Gardens and what a spectacular light show. The flowers were beautiful and so much to see we could have stayed for hours. We are looking forward to return at other times of the year. I have heard the display in spring is wonderful and they will have all the new fountains on.

My husband and I went on a Tuesday night, it was just cold enough for hats and scarves and a crystal clear night. Wasn't very crowded and we enjoyed walking around the grounds.

We go every year to see their Christmas display so we are fairly critical if it does not meet last year's display. We were not disappointed. The preponderance of Christmas trees and lights amongst all the floral varieties was amazing. And when it began snowing lightly, the outdoor lighting was spectacular in every way. The older fountains were on to... More

Longwood is nothing short of a garden wonder! We have been twice in a year and we always look forward to our next visit! This year, we went to the "Longwood Christmas" event and was totally blown away! The gardens are beautiful by themselves but totally breathtaking lit up with Christmas lights! If you don't fancy walking outside, there are... More

Longwood Gardens is conveniently located off Route 1 in Kennett Square PA. It is well known for it's annual Christmas Light Show. But such an incredible resource to have in our own back yard. While the Christmas Display is concluded for the year; come to see the orchids in the green house and other beautiful plants and trees. They also... More

Visited for the first time this past December for the Xmas lights and trees. Wonderful setting for the trees and decorations. the grounds at night have all the trees light up. Can't wait to come back later in the year to view all the flowers in bloom. Suggest that you come earlier in the day, at night the lines of... More

I have been to the Christmas show several times in the past and enjoyed it. We were unable to go last year -so decided to go this year. First- you must have a timed ticket that you buy ahead online- hope that you arrive on time, or that the weather is not bad- because there are no refunds and you... More

No matter the season, there is always something to take in. When the weather permits, the grounds are spectacular. But our favorite time though is Christmas as the trees and decorations are superb.

Christmas at Longwood is a fantastic way to enjoy a spectacularly elegant, impeccably maintained and totally enthralling getaway. What a highlight this season! I can't say enough about it- so overwhelmingly beautiful and so tastefully decorated with plenty of meandering outdoor paths, dragon-guarded cabin, the family home- extravagant conservatory with luscious aromas and delights at every turn- an organ concert-... Visited Longwood Gardens just after the first of the year in order to see the Christmas displays. The property is immense, with the conservatories along covering nearly 4 acres. Christmas displays abounded throughout, with trees decorated in many different themes, including one outdoor tree that featured all edible ornaments (seeds, nuts, etc.) to attract the birds. The grounds were not... More
