The gardens are a large, former estate of the DuPont family. I don't know how many acres they total, but suffice it to say just the outside alone can consume hours of enjoyment of flowers, topiary and a newly reopened fountain complex. As if that...More

We enjoyed our visit to Longwood gardens - it was a perfect day. Plenty of parking. There is a lot of walking and trails give yourself 1/2 day at least. We tried Groupon to get some deals but it wasn't available and they do not...More

We are just in awe of the gardens and fountains. Our favorite sight was the Italian Water Garden with it's lush greenery, gorgeous blue fountains and shady havens. We imbibed at the Beer Garden (also a favorite) and were fortunate to get to enjoy the...More

Longwood has been one of my favorite places over the years. We've loved their Christmas displays, trains, having dinner at 1906 House during the holidays. In many ways it's still a great place - live music, good food at their restaurant but I've noticed that...More

Beautiful gardens worth the trip. Good for couples, families, kids. Lots of walking so if trouble walking bring an assistive device. Special displays are an added bonus (Xmas, etc).

Night show way better than day show. Well worth the visit. Broadway show accompanied the fountain show. Gardens are exquisite. Conservancy wonderful. Lots of food options. Easy access. Worth the money.

This is definitely worth seeing if you have a few hours and are in the area. Besides the multitude of plants and the scenery there is a spectacular fountain show to music a few times a day. There is also a night show which must...More

This is definitely worth the drive. We drove up from Maryland early in the morning and the gardens were so vast and lovely. They have been inspired by the formal garden in France and Italy. There are many different areas with woodland and garden areas....More
