The beach is some 10km away from the princess highway- some 30km north of Batemans Bay and is one of the most beautifully situated beaches i have ever seen- a beauty of the Mother Nature. It is pretty steep going down to the beach and finally there is a wide opening ending with the beach. It is pretty wide and... More

Pebbly Beach is located in Murramarang National Park in New South Wales. What makes the park special is that the kangaroos are so used to human contact that you can walk right up and pet them. The Beach is quiet and isolated with amazing surf and swimming. Definitely the experience I won't forget!

This place is a little bit out of the way and hard to find, but well worth the trip in the end. We had the most beautiful morning here. We had never seen kangaroos up close before (outside of a zoo) and I must say it was a magical experience. We brought a packed lunch and had a picnic on... More

Beautiful location including grasslands, sandy beach and stunning scenery. Happy children who saw kangaroos and a very large goanna. The kangaroos let us get quite close. We went in the late afternoon but worth spending time there for a swim and explore. Go for a walk to the southern end of the beach to see why it's called Pebbly beach.... More

We saw a lot of Kangaroos in this area, they move between Pebbly Beach and Depot Beach. You need to pay a fee to park in the area though.

There is a bit of driving on a dirt track and a fairly steep drive down to the car park/beach area, but well worth the trek. There are Kangaroos in abundance and the beach itself is glorious. You may even see a Kangaroo bodysurfing early in the morning.

With friends visiting from overseas and wanting to see Kangaroos, we thought this would be a perfect mix of beach, swimming, picnic & kangaroo viewing activities. We did see Kangaroos, but the place was so full of persistent, annoying flies that it was impossible to really enjoy Pebbly Beach. The NPS also charges $8 - which is fine - but... More

Magical! Just wonderful! Don't miss out! Stay overnight, don't care about the bugs and just love and enjoy nature, wildlife, etc. right at the beach! What an amazing place! I want to go back!

This is a fantastic beach and there's a campground (and a few cabins) operated by the NSW National Parks. There are only a handful people at the beach. And yes, there are Kangaroos and Lorikeet birds and other birds. It depends on the time of day if you will see them. If you are camping you'll see them for sure.... More
