While I know you cant control the weather it really sucks when they close down lifts when its slightly windy, which will happen a lot. Other than that, what choices do you really have in Australia :) I have some great videos on my youtube - thedannyblackvlog

My favourite thing about Perisher is it's variety and options available to the individual depending on weather. Even when chairs are down due to high winds you can still access most of the 4 resort areas and some amazing terrain. It is well linked although I can't quite understand how Perisher can run the Summit and Ridge Quads when the... More

We loved Perisher, Smiggins and Blue Cow, this was our first trip to the snow and our family of four loved it. We all had different skiing abilities, hubby and our eldest (8) picked up skiing really well and were off skiing most of the time whilst our youngest (6) and I caught the quad lift up to Mt Perisher... They do a great job keeping the mountain alive. Our visit coincided with exceptional rainfall and the mountain staff do a great job of recovering the mountain.

Just back from a family Spring ski trip. The whole resort stood up very well considering that we haven't had the best conditions and two big rain events, congratulations to the behind the scenes crew who work at night to keep us all skiing. Eyre or an early run at Zali's were probably the pick of runs last week. A... More

The snow coverage is still pretty good at blue cow at Perisher. We boarded down to the pretty valley run (which was not as crowded and has spectacular scenery). It's an awesome green run with lots of space and freedom and great for the beginner intermediate level. Warning, the cafe at the bottom only takes cash but has famous hot... More

Wonderful few days in the snow. Toboggan area great fun, but be aware there is no one overseeing this area so can be very dangerous with little ones as many people don't use common sense and rather than walk up the side of the slope they walk straight up the middle of the slope into toboggans coming down 🙄. Resort... More

Wasn't a happy season this year weather wise but you wouldn't have been able to tell from the staff. The lifties are young kids with big smiles and always helpful. Pricing for season passes are great pay a little now save up pay the test much later. Ski tube is a cold cold place though so it's my only gripe.... More

After missing last year and heading to NZ for skiing, it was great to head back to Perisher. It is definitely a myth that the skiing in NZ is better. Perisher is awesome with it's huge variety of terrain, great app, and it's wonderful scenery and atmosphere. Our main complaint is simply they are taking up too much terrain with... More

Perisher has always been a great resort, the facilities are a good standard but as with most ski resorts in Australia completely over priced, tickets, food lessons you name it all overpriced. I booked my kids in for lessons and was very disappointed with the instructor. Getting kids to follow you down a slope over and over is not teaching... More
