Cute peaceful spa hidden in the middle of town

Through a tiny, unassuming wooden door lies this hidden spa spot right in the middle of Mullumbimby. With four spas (all with different features, one silent), a sauna which looks and feels like a hobbit hole (which I mean as a compliment!), a steam room and a cold plunge pool, this is a gem of a retreat to while away... I try and visit Kiva weekly when I can, even just to soak and steam. I go early in the week when the spas feel cleaner and there are less people. Hannah is my favourite massage therapist...it can be a little hit and miss with some therapists but I have found my favourites over time. Friday and weekends can be... More

Visited for a Christmas present for partner. Very chilled out vibes. Lovely spa area, decent massages and all reasonably priced. Will be back.

They were busy but managed to fit us in for a great massage and facial. Recommend to leave more time than we allowed to use the spa and pools. Really nice overall experience and very relaxing.

I have been to Kiva twice before and loved it. My last visite was not as I expected. The place was full and people were talking in the spa area and inside the sauna as loud as if they were in their own back yard. The receptionist was overwhelmed and could barely give us correct instructions. Not relaxing at all.... More

Another visit here and another incredibly relaxing experience. This time I went as part of a group that had booked out the whole place for ourselves (7-9pm on a Saturday night). It was the perfect end to a day long healing retreat in the Byron region. This place is whatever you want it to be - relaxing, energising, healing, restorative.... More

I visited Kiva Spa on a solo weekend away to get some R&R. Everyone seemed to be talking about this place so I thought I would give it a try. I had a remedial massage with Amos, he was amazing and it was quite simply the best remedial massage I've had and fixed my shoulder which my usual masseuse hadn't... More

I love this place, me and my partner go at the end of the week to unwind from work, i love the steam room amd plunge pool. 4 spas to choose from and one is a silent spa. I have noticed getting really busy sometimes and mornings are best times to go. Some afternoons i have found they let in... More

The atmosphere is amazing. 4 big spas, a hammam, a wood fired sauna and the cold water plunge pool to cool down after the heat. The place is very cosy. A secret paradise in the jungle. And as we went twice in the morning on sunny days we nearly had the place for ourselves. Aromatherapy and the occasional big lizard... More

I am not one for writing negative reviews but I hope that this serves to improve the experience of future guests. I have visited Kiva Spa many times, I mostly absolutely loved the experience of relaxing and rejuvenating in the beautiful setting. I have had massages too and they are amazing! Living in the Byron Shire, I often have interstate... More
