We stopped here on our trip from Melbourne to Sydney and ended up spending many more hours than we had intended. It is an enchanting place, run by lovely people who are all passionate about the work they do. Everyone was so friendly and well informed. The animals are obviously so well looked after and relaxed. Some of the comments... More

We started our visit in the excellent cafe, with the lightest of scones, jam and cream, good coffee. Bought cute animal books for the grandkids then ambled round in the drizzly rain, getting to know the rescued wildlife, including a kangaroo which liked being stroked under the chin. Met the very interesting owner Alexandra. Not just a holiday attraction for... More

Great place but hard to get around if you require a walking aide, wheelchair or mobility assistance. My kids loved the train ride although short, doing 2 laps around the park would make it worth the wait. The talks are really informative and it's great to see people so passionate about the local environment and native animals.

Thanks for your feed back Melinda and we are sorry it was hard to get around. We are currently working on plans for extending our train track so we can take visitors on a longer ride and viewing of the park. We are very excited about this and know our visitors will be too! We are continually working on improving... More

We've stopped here a few times over the years on the way home from holidays in Merimbula. Really nice nature park, native animals, friendly staff and a great place for a visit. A great care as well with really lovely home style food (today had the most amazing home made sausage rolls...). Well worth the stop.

Potoroo Palace is a small wildlife park on the highway between Pambula and Bega. Run by people who are passionate in saving native animals including those that are injured. Friendly staff. Well recommended. There is a small tearoom for lunch and books and videos on wildlife.

Very overpriced!!! Cost us $76 entry for 2 adults and 3 children. $2 extra pp for train ride which literally lasted 5 minutes and is the walking path of the whole park. There are very few animals and could have been in and out within 30 min. The highlight was the 5 free roaming kangaroos. The place is run down... More

When anyone visits Australia, they want to see kangaroos. It's even better if you get to pet them. Potoroo Palace is a wildlife reserve which you can visit. We went around 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. I did not like that we didn't get a tour with staff telling us which animals were endangered, how they cared for them, whether... More

I'm afraid I'd have to agree with a couple of other reviews - remember this is not a zoo, it's an animal sanctuary. We saw very few animals because the enclosures were in such poor condition. It's expensive to get in, toilets and picnic areas were very dirty. Wouldn't recommend.
